You’re Getting Married
Congratulations! You’re getting married. It is a joyful time in your lives as you prepare to pledge your love and commitment to each other before family and friends and ask for God’s blessing on your marriage. There can be a lot of stress and anxiety in the time leading up to a wedding. We hope that First Christian can be not only a beautiful place for your special day, but also a place of inspiration and support.
We have two beautiful spaces available for your wedding ceremony. Our mid-century, modern sanctuary seats 400 comfortably and features a long center aisle that will allow your wedding party to make a grand entrance. Our chapel is an intimate space perfect for small weddings with up to 70 in attendance.
Included in your wedding fee is an experienced wedding coordinator who will assist you at the rehearsal and on the day of the wedding, as well as experienced and skilled organists/ accompanists who will play for the ceremony. Our pastors will perform weddings for non-members as well as members and are willing to talk with you if you are considering a location outside the church.
While we are eager to help you have a beautiful wedding day, we are even more interested in giving you the tools with which to build a marriage that will last a lifetime. Therefore, we require all couples married at First Christian Church to participate in pre-marital counseling. We use a guidance tool called Prepare-Enrich, which helps couples discuss strengths and growing edges in their relationship and helps give them important skills in communication and conflict resolution. Prepare-Enrich is an inventory taken online and involves an additional $35 fee.
In order to reserve your date, you must pay a security deposit of $100, which will be returned to you after your wedding if there has been no damage to the building.
